In the past, a village of farmers and fishermen, today, Medulin is one of the most important tourist destinations of southern Istria. Medulin’s coastline is low, sandy and indented. A unique natural attraction is the Medulin archipelago consisting of ten islets and the coastal phenomenon called Primošten or Tombolo, followed by the lavish vegetation, as well as exceptionally favorable climate conditions. Besides hotels and camping sites, Medulin has an extensive offer of rooms and apartments in family houses, so in one day over 17 000 guests can be accommodated here. The main attraction of tourism in Medulin is sport. Medulin is known to young people for its famous night club, excellent classical music concerts, some forty restaurants and challenging cuisine. With its six grass soccer fields, athletics facilities and favorable Mediterranean climate, Medulin is ideal location for sports preparations. The town is located at the very south of Istria, 11 km southeast of Pula, on the northeastern side of the well-indented Bay of Medulin; the altitude is 29 m; the population 1805. The economy is based on agriculture, fishing and tourism. The sandy bottom, pine forest on the peninsula and south of the city, and the relatively easy access have helped tourism develop.

Numerous music, sports and entertainment events are held in the place during summer. The traditional events include: masked ball (February), day of Sv. Jakov Apostol, the patron saint of Medulin (July), and Šanjero, a traditional youth sports competition (in July and August). Six grass soccer fields, athletic facilities, tennis courts, mini golf, bowling, bocce, beach volleyball, horseback riding, courses for sailing, diving and water skiing; rental of motorboats, beach canoes, paddle boats, scooters, bicycles and motorcycles. We recommend the well-known night club in Medulin for young people, while Medulin is also known for excellent classical music concerts that are held in the summer months. Ruins of a Roman rural villa and ancient graves can be found on Ižula peninsula. Ruins of prehistoric castles are located on Vrčevan hill and Punta Kašteja cape (stone walls). The parish church of Sv. Agneza houses a silver-plated procession cross from the 15th century.

Medulin is a town located in the easternmost part of Istria, 11 km southeast of Pula, on the northeastern side of the well-indented bay of Medulin. The economy is based on agriculture, fishing and tourism. Sandy seabed, pine forest on the peninsula south of the town and accessibility have favored the development of tourism. Medulin harbor is very shallow (0,9-2,5 m) and, therefore, suitable only for smaller boats. The well-protected bay of Medulin is ideal for camping and swimming, therefore, a camping site has been built on the southeastern side of Kasteja Peninsula (2 km from Medulin). The camping site lies on the regional road Pula-Pomer-Medulin-Liznjan. Medulin is also known for classical music concerts that take place in summer months. Some forty restaurants in Medulin, serving fish, meat and vegetarian dishes, will definitely appeal to gourmands.
Numerous music, sports and entertainment events take place during summer in Medulin. The most important ones are: carnival (in February), sv. Jakov Apostle Day – patron saint of Medulin (in July), and Sanpjero Cup – a traditional sports youth competition in speed and agility of the town of Medulin and its surroundings (in July and August). On Izula Peninsula, you can find ruins of a roman summer residence and ancient graves. Prehistoric remains of castles lie on Mount Vrcevan and on the cape of Punta Kasteja. A silver-platted procession cross from the 15th century is kept in sv. Agneza church.
