From Split there are ferry lines to all central Dalmatian islands, as well as to Ancona in Italy. There are also ferry lines to Pula, Venice, Dubrovnik and Greece. The airport lies in the place of Resnik in the immediate vicinity. Split can boast of having a splendid tourist offer, including various types of accommodation in hotels, apartments and rooms, as well as gastronomic offer consisting of numerous restaurants and konobas that serve first class local specialties. There are numerous beaches and swimming areas in the city and its surroundings. The most popular beach is Bacvice, a sandy beach almost in the center of Split. Split Summer Festival takes place from mid-July to mid-August, when dramas, operas and concerts are performed.
