General information
This place with a population of 5240 is located southeast of Split on the main road (M21, E65). The economy is based on agriculture and tourism. Podstrana and its riviera (Strozanac, Grljevac, Sveti Martin, Mutogras) have beautiful pebble and sandy beaches. Besides sea and plenty of sun, guests can also take advantage of lavish Mediterranean vegetation, including a pine and tamarisks forest. Numerous restaurants offer traditional specialties and Dalmatian wines. The area is known for its excellent peaches and cherries. It is well-connected to Split and Omis by public transportation and is a favorite swimming destination for the inhabitants of Split.
