General information
Drvenik is a coastal tourist destination on Makarska Riviera, some 30 km from Makarska. It has 480 inhabitants. It is located between the steep cliffs of Rilic Mountain and the coast with splendid beaches. The place is divided into two parts that are located in two bays – Donja Vala and Gornja Vala. Nowadays, Drvenik is a well-known tourist destination fully oriented towards the development of tourism. Drvenik is also an important traffic center due to its ferry port that connects the island of Hvar with the mainland. Thanks to its extensive offer of traditional restaurants and splendid beaches with the shade of pine trees, more and more tourists decide to spend their holidays in Drvenik.

"Drvenik is an attractive little town with enough beachfront and tourist amenities to merit a short stay. It's too far, however, from both Split and Dubrovnik-- in terms of travel time, not kilometers-- to be a convenient base for sightseeing those areas."
