General information
Sumartin – place and harbor in the bay of the same name on the southeastern coast of the island of Brac. The economy is based on agriculture, wine and olive growing, fishing and tourism. It lies on the road that runs through the entire island. It is a ferry port and is connected to Makarska. Smaller yachts can dock in the harbor, while larger ones can anchor in the middle of the bay. Ferries, yachts, and fishing boats, as well as the well-kept monastery museum, give the impression of a lively tourist destination. Clean waters, fresh fish, intact nature, homegrown food (cheese, honey, lamb and wine), as well as fun and entertainment in nearby Bol make Sumartin an attractive destination.
