DAY 1:
MILAN
Upon arrival to Milan, you will be transferred from the airport to the hotel.
Dinner and overnight.
DAY 2: MILAN VENICE (330 km)
After breakfast, we go on a sightseeing tour of Milan featuring Piazza Duomo,
Cathedral and Via Vittorio Emanuelle. Continuing on to Venice "Queen of the Mediterranean". Dinner and overnight at the hotel.
DAY 3: VENICE - PLITVICE (470 km)
We embark the vaporetto and arrive in the historical town of Venice. Sightseeing tour of the most distinguished sites. We leave Venice and
head for Plitvice driving through Italy, Slovenia and Croatia (via Rijeka).
Plitvice National Park is a natural phenomenon of 16 terraced lakes surrounded
by thickly wooded mountains. This most famous national park in Croatia was
enlisted among UNESCO's World Natural Heritage Sites in 1979. Dinner and
overnight at the hotel in Plitvice.
DAY 4: PLITVICE - SPLIT (270 km)
After breakfast we go on a memorable tour around the lakes. In the afteroon we
leave for Split, city in the central Dalmatia, known for Diocletian's Palace,
the most important and the best preserved Roman building in Croatia. Upon
arrival in Split, check-in at the hotel, dinner and overnight.
DAY 5: SPLIT - MAKARSKA RIVIJERA - DUBROVNIK (240 km)
After breakfast, morning sightseeing tour including Diocletian's Palace,
Cellars and the Cathedral. Drive along Makarska riviera to Dubrovnik, one of
the nicest stone cities in the world. This city-monument has been registered on
UNESCO's List of the World Cultural Heritage Sites. Arrive at the hotel. Dinner
and overnight.
DAY 6: DUBROVNIK
After breakfast, a city tour of Dubrovnik including Franciscan monastery,
Cathedral and Rector's Palace. Afternoon walk along the old city walls which
offer a perfect view of the whole city and the surrounding islands. Dinner and
overnight at the hotel.
DAY 7: DUBROVNIK - BARI
Breakfast. Day at leisure. Dinner at local restaurant in Dubrovnik. After
dinner we embark a ferry to the Italian town of Bari.
DAY 8: BARI - POMPEI - SORRENTO - CAPRI (330 km)
Arrive in Bari in the morning and continue the journey to Pompei, the remains
of the Roman town destroyed by the eruption of the Vesuvius. After the
sightseeing, we head to Sorrento and embark a ferry to the island of Capri,
known for the lush vegetation and rich history. Dinner and overnight at the
hotel.
DAY 9: CAPRI
Panoramic drive on the island of Capri towards Anacapri. On
our way there we stop on Mount Tiberius and pay a visit to Villa Jovis and the
remains of the Tiberius's Palace as well as Villa San Michelle. Short rest on
Belvedere Cannone also known as the Painter's Square, which overlooks the
island. We continue towards the Gardens of the Augustus and Carthusian
monastery of St. James. Afternoon at leisure. Dinner and overnight at the
hotel.
DAY 10: CAPRI - SORRENTO - NAPLES - MONTECASSINO - ROME (300
km)
Embark the ferry to Sorrento and continue the journey to Naples. Sightseeing of the city including Castel Nuovo, Royal Palace, Harbour,
San Carlo Opera House and Archeological Museum. Drive to Montecassino to visit
the ancient Benedictine Monastery. Then we continue our drive towards Rome
the eternal city. Dinner and overnight at the hotel in Rome.
DAY 11: ROME
Full day sightseeing of Rome: fi rst we will visit the Vatican including a visit to the Church of St. Peter, and after the short rest we continue with a Rome city tour: Colosseum, Roman Forum, Fori Imperiali, the Capitoline Hill, San Pietro in Vincoli, Piazza Navona, Pantheon, Fontana di Trevi, Via Condotti, Piazza di Spagna, Trinita del Monti and Piazza del Popolo. Dinner and overnight at the hotel.
DAY 12: ROME - ASSISI (200 km)
After breakfast, morning at leisure with an optional visit to the Vatican
museums and a famous Sistine Chapel. Drive via Todi, a beautiful medaeval town
situated on a steep cliff, towards Assisi, a birthplace of St. Francis. Dinner
and overnight at the hotel in Assisi.
DAY 13: ASSISI - SIENNA - FLORENCE (200 km)
Walking tour of the historical centre of Assisi (registered on UNESCOs Cultural Heritage List) with a visit to Piazza del Comune, Basilica
of St. Francis, St. Rufino Cathedral and Basilica of St. Claire. After the
short rest, we take a boat ride across Trasimeno lake, known for the famous
battle during the second Punic war when Hannibal defeated the Romans. Then we
continue towards Sienna, a birthplace of St. Catherine. Sightseeing of this
picturesque town spread across three hillocks includes Piazza del Campo,
Cathedral, Town Hall and Church of San Domenico. Drive to Florence, the center
of Tuscany. Dinner and overnight at the hotel in Florence.
DAY 14: FLORENCE - MILAN (300 km)
After breakfast, a guided stroll around the historical centre including Church
of San Lorenzo, Cathedral, Palazzo Medici, Palazzo Vecchio, Palazzo Pitti,
Piazza della Signoria, Ponte Vecchio and Church of Santa Croce. After the tour
and a short rest we continue our journey to Milan. Dinner and overnight at the
hotel in Milan.
DAY 15: MILAN
Free time till transfer to the Milan airport for your fl ight home.
