DAY 1:
ZAGREB
Arrive in Zagreb. Transfer from the airport to the hotel, dinner and overnight.
DAY 2: ZAGREB - LJUBLJANA -
BLED (220 km)
Breakfast. Sightseeing of Zagreb featuring Upper Town, historical centre of the
city, Church of St. Mark with the famed multi-coloured roof, Cathedral,
Croatian National Theatre and University. After the city tour we head towards
Ljubljana – the capital of Slovenia. Walk along the river Ljubljanica which
passes through the town's centre, tour of the Three Bridges, baroque City Hall
and Ljubljana Castle dating from the 13th century. We continue our journey to
Bled, an enchanting resort town by the lakeshore, at the foot of the Julian
Alps. Arrive at the hotel. Dinner and overnight.
DAY 3: BLED
After breakfast, a sightseeing tour of the fairy-tale castle Bled and the
meadiaeval city perched on a high cliff 100 m above the lake. Ride on a
traditional boat «Pletna» to the small island in the middle of the lake,
comprising the Church of St. Mary of the Lake which dates from the 17th
century. Climb the monumental stairs to the notorious «Wishing Bell» from 1534.
Dinner and overnight at the hotel.
DAY 4: BLED - POSTOJNA - OPATIJA (170 km)
AWe depart for Postojna and a world-famous Postojna Cave, the
biggest cave in Europe which is also known as one of the most stunning caves in
the world. Ride on a miniature electric train through the fantastic
subterranean world enriched with beautiful stalactites and stalagmites. We
continue our journey to Opatija, one of the most famous tourist resorts in the
Mediterranean, which in the last century served as a resting-place of the
European aristocracy and was therefore known as «the Croatian Nice». Arrive at
the hotel. Dinner and overnight.
DAY 5: OPATIJA
Since Roman times, Opatija has been a «spa» town, offering rest and recreation
to its innumerable visitors. With all the sun-drenched pleasures of a European
resort town, its grand villas, subtropical botanical gardens, old-style grand
hotels, wide boulevards, and busy marinas it has attracted Europeans since the
1840s with almost religious fervor. They were drawn to it mostly for its
crystal-clear sea and the Mediterranean blue of its endless sky. Day at leisure
to explore, relax and enjoy yourself. Dinner and overnight in Opatija.
DAY 6: OPATIJA - PLITVICE (190 km)
Breakfast and departure towards the Plitvice Lakes National Park. This
beautiful natural lake complex was registered on UNESCO's List of World Natural
Heritage in 1979 and comprises a string of 16 turquoise coloured lakes linked
by 92 waterfalls and cascades which are surrounded by dense wooded mountains
and lush vegetation. Sightseeing tour of the National Park. Dinner and
overnight at the hotel in Plitvice.
DAY 7: PLITVICE - TROGIR - SPLIT (270
km)
After breakfast, we continue our journey towards Trogir – one of the jewels of
the Dalmatian coast. Sightseeing of the historical city centre which has been
under the protection of UNESCO. Continuing on to Split. Arrive at the hotel.
Dinner and overnight.
DAY 8:
SPLIT
After breakfast, a sightseeing tour of Split, including Diocletian's Palace,
Cellers and the Cathedral. Afternoon at leisure. Dinner and overnight at the
hotel in Split.
DAY 9: SPLIT -
MOSTAR - DUBROVNIK (310 km)
After breakfast, departure for Mostar, a Herzegovinian town situated by the
river Neretva. Short sightseeing tour of the historical centre and a
world-known Mostar Bridge. Our journey continues towards Dubrovnik. Dinner and
overnight at the hotel in Dubrovnik.
DAY 10: DUBROVNIK
After breakfast, a sightseeing tour of Dubrovnik - a city-monument under
UNESCO's protection. Tour includes a visit to the Franciscan monastery,
Rector's Palace and the Cathedral. Afternoon at leisure. Dinner and overnight
at the hotel.
DAY 11:
DUBROVNIK - KOTOR - CETINJE - BUDVA - ST. STEFAN - DUBROVNIK (260 km)
After breakfast, we go on a full day trip to Montenegro. First we drive to
Kotor, a town that was inhabited even at the times of the Illyrians. Then we
continue our drive to Cetinje, once the capital of Montenegro. After a short
sightseeing tour, we head towards Budva, the most famous tourist resort in
Montenegro. We'll also visit St. Stefan, today a luxurious resort that once
used to be a small fishing village. Return to Dubrovnik. Dinner and overnight
at the hotel.
DAY 12: DUBROVNIK
Free time until transfer to Dubrovnik airport for your flight home.
