SPLIT - ISLAND OF HVAR - ISLAND OF KORCULA - PELJESAC PENINSULA - DUBROVNIK -
SPLIT
DAY 1: SPLIT -
STARI GRAD - HVAR (30 km)
Arrival in Split. Transfer from the airport to the city. Sightseeing tour of
Split, including Diocletian's Palace, Peristyle and Cathedral. Later on,
departure on a ferry from Split to the island of Hvar (Stari Grad harbour).
Hvar island is famous for its endless lavander fields and numerous vineyards.
Arrive at the hotel, dinner and overnight.
DAY 2: HVAR
After breakfast, a full day excursion around the island including small,
picturesque island villages and wine cellars (wine tasting). Afternoon tour of
Hvar town – a central place on the island. The town of Hvar will enchant you
with its easygoing atmosphere, grand palaces, churches, monastery and
cathedral, charming narrow streets, beautiful seaside promenade and the oldest
urban theatre in Europe which is still running. Hvar has had a reputation of
being a famous tourist resort for a whole century. Dinner and overnight at the
hotel.
DAY 3: HVAR -
STARI GRAD - KORCULA (20 km)
Embark ferry to Korčula – said to be a birthplace of
Marco Polo, a famous seafarer, explorer and adventurer. Arrive at the hotel.
Upon arrival we'll explore the town of Korcula with its well preserved town
walls from the 13th century and a beautiful cathedral of St. Mark – the most
important building in Korcula. Dinner and overnight at the hotel.
DAY 4: KORCULA - LUMBARDA -
BLATO - CARA - KORCULA (90 km)
Full day excursion around the island of Korčula. Visit
Lumbarda, known for its top–quality white wine called Grk (the Greek) made from
the special vine sort grk bijeli (greek white) which is grown here. A visit to
the wine cellar includes tasting of this delicious dessert white wine. Then we
head on through the central part of the island, all the way to the town of
Blato. We will visit the winery Sain-Marelic in Cara including tasting of some
highly esteemed white wines like Posip and Rukatac - indigenous sorts on the
island and among the first Croatian wines of the controlled origin. Return to
the town of Korcula. Dinner and overnight at the hotel in Korcula.
DAY 5: KORCULA - OREBIC -
STON - DUBROVNIK (130 km)
After breakfast, transfer to the town of Orebic on the Peljesac peninsula. The
sunny climate ensures perfect conditions for the wine-growers on the peninsula.
The picturesque hillsides and valleys of Peljesac are covered in vineyards. The
most famous wines produced in this region are Dingac and Postup. Drive to Ston,
a well-known oyster-growing capital in Croatia. We continue on to Dubrovnik.
Arrive at the hotel. Dinner and overnight.
DAY 6: DUBROVNIK
Morning guided tour of Dubrovnik, a city-monument under
UNESCO's protection. Tour includes a visit to the Franciscan monastery,
Rector's Palace and the Cathedral. Afternoon at leisure. Dinner and overnight
at the hotel.
DAY 7: DUBROVNIK - SPLIT (240 km)
After breakfast, we contiue our journey along Makarska riviera towards Split.
Uppon arrival in Split, dinner and overnight at the hotel.
DAY 8: SPLIT
After breakfast, transfer to the Split airport.
