ZAGREB - MARIJA BISTRICA - PLITVICE -
SPLIT - MEUGORJE - SPLIT
PILGRIMAGE TOUR - 7 DAYS / 6 NIGHTS
DAY 1 ZAGREB: Upon arrival in
Zagreb, transfer from the airport to your hotel. Dinner and overnight.
DAY 2 ZAGREB - MARIJA BISTRICA - ZAGREB (100 km): After
breakfast, a city tour of Zagreb including the Upper Town, historical centre,
St. Mark's Church with a recognizable multi-coloured roof, Cathedral, Croatian
National Theatre and University. Later on, we head towards Marija Bistrica, a
famous place of pilgrimage and the biggest Croatian parish fete site. Catholic
faith has deep roots in the Croatian history and Mother Mary (called a Queen of
all Croats) is specially honoured. The main pilgrimage site here is the parish
chuch of St. Peter with a miraculous gothic sculpture of Mother Mary of
Bistrica with a child dating from the 16th century. This church became a
Croatian sanctuary in 1715 by the Parliament decision. Return to Zagreb. Dinner
and overnight at the hotel.
DAY 3 ZAGREB - PLITVICE - SPLIT (400 km): After
breakfast, departure for the Plitvice National Park, a natural phenomenon of 16
terraced lakes surrounded by thickly wooded mountains. This most famous
national park in Croatia was enlisted among UNESCO's World Natural Heritage
Sites in 1979. After a sightseeing tour of the lakes we leave towards Split.
Arrive at the hotel. Dinner and overnight in Split.
DAY 4 SPLIT - MEUGORJE (160 km): After breakfast, a
sightseeing tour of Split, including Diocletian's Palace, Cellars and the
Cathedral. Then we continue our journey via Vrgorac towards Meugorje, one of
the most visited places of pilgrimage among Catholics. In 1981 a group of
children saw and spoke to Mother Mary for the first time on a hill above
Meugorje which is today called the Apparition Hill. Dinner and overnight at
private pension of the 1st category.
DAY 5 MEUGORJE: Breakfast. Day at leisure (a visit
to Krievac or Podbrdo and a mass attendance are recommended). Dinner and
overnight at a private accommodation.
DAY 6 MEUGORJE - SPLIT (160 km): Breakfast. Morning
at leisure before a return trip to Split. Dinner and overnight at the hotel in
Split.
DAY 7 SPLIT: After breakfast, you'll be transferred
to the Split airport for the return flight home.

ZAGREB - RIJEKA - ZADAR - IBENIK -
SPLIT - TROGIR - DUBROVNIK
CROATIAN CATHEDRALS - 9 DAYS / 8 NIGHTS
DAY 1 ZAGREB: Upon arrival in
Zagreb, you will be transferred from the airport to your hotel. Dinner and
overnight.
DAY 2 ZAGREB: After breakfast, we go on a sightseeing
tour of Zagreb, featuring Upper Town, St. Mark's Church with a famed
multi-coloured roof, picturesque central market and Croatian National Theatre.
In the afternoon, we'll visit Zagreb's Cathedral of the Assumption of the
Blessed Virgin Mary the largest ecclesiastical building in Croatia housing
the tombs of bishops and distinguished persons from the Croatian history.
Dinner and overnight at the hotel.
DAY 3 ZAGREB - RIJEKA (160 km): After breakfast, we
depart for Rijeka and a Shrine of Our Lady of Trsat which is situated on the
top of Trsat hill. It has been a subject of a legend dating from the 13th
century. In 1291 Mary's house in Nazareth is said to have appeared here, then
mysteriously disappeared later, to be discovered in Italy, in Loreto, where it
still stands today as a shrine. Then we descend down to the city of Rijeka to
visit the Church of St. Vitus, build on a model of basicila Santa Maria della
Salute in Venice. Dinner and overnight at the hotel in Rijeka.
DAY 4 RIJEKA - ZADAR (250 km): After breakfast, drive
to Zadar. Sightseeing tour of the city and a visit to the Cathedral of St.
Anastasia, built in the 12th and 13th century. It is considered to be the most
impressive basilica in Dalmatia. The cult of St. Anastasia began in the 9th
century after Bishop Donat had brought her remains from Constantinople and
enshrined them in this church. Check-in at the hotel in Zadar, dinner and
overnight.
DAY 5 ZADAR - IBENIK - SPLIT (150 km): After
breakfast we head south towards ibenik, the oldest Croatian and Slavic city on
the Adriatic with a famous Cathedral of St. James. This is the most important
architectural monument of the Renaissance in Croatia, built in the 15th and
16th century. After the short rest, we continue our journey to Split. Split is
most famous for Diocletian's Palace which is the most important and best
preserved Roman building in Croatia, built between AD 295 and 305. Check-in at
the hotel in Split. Dinner and overnight.
DAY 6 SPLIT - TROGIR - SPLIT (60 km): After
breakfast, and a sightseeing tour of the city (Diocletian's Palace, Peristyle,
Cathedral of St.Domnius), we head towards the town of Trogir whose historical
centre was placed on the UNESCO's World Cultural Heritage List in 1997. Visit
the Cathedral of St. Lawrence which dates from the 13th century. The Cathedral
has a Romanesque portal which was built and signed in 1240 by the greatest
Croatian master sculptor, Radovan. Return to Split. Dinner and overnight at the
hotel.
DAY 7 SPLIT - MAKARSKA RIVIERA - STON - DUBROVNIK (250 km):
After breakfast, we head south along Makarska Riviera and Neretva Valley
towards Dubrovnik, one of the most beautiful stone cities in the world. On the
way, we'll make a short break in Ston, known for the largest oyster farms on
the Eastern Adriatic coast. Arrive in Dubrovnik, a city-monument, registered on
UNESCO's List of the World Cultural Heritage. Rest of the day at leisure.
Dinner and overnight in Dubrovnik.
DAY 8 DUBROVNIK - KOTOR - DUBROVNIK (160 km): Breakfast.
Morning city tour of Dubrovnik including a visit to the Franciscan monastery,
Rector's Palace and the Cathedral. Later on, we head south to Kotor where we
visit the Cathedral of St.Tryphon, built in Romanesque style during the Middle
Ages. Return to Dubrovnik. Dinner and overnight at the hotel.
DAY 9 DUBROVNIK: After breakfast, you will be
transferred to the airport for the flight home.

DUBROVNIK - MEUGORJE - DUBROVNIK
MEUGORJE - EXPERIENCE A MIRACLE - 7 DAYS / 6 NIGHTS
DAY 1 DUBROVNIK: Arrive in
Dubrovnik. Transfer from the airport to your hotel, dinner and overnight.
DAY 2-5 DUBROVNIK - MEUGORJE (140 km): After
breakfast, departure via Neretva valley, Metkovi and apljina towards
Meugorje one of the most visited pilgrimage places among Catholics.
According to the testimony of the six young parishioners, the Blessed Virgin
Mary appeared in the parish of Meugorje on June 24, 1981. That day the
visionaries were frightened by the apparition of Our Lady and ran away. On the
following day, June 25, 1981, they responded to Our Ladys call and went to the
Apparition Hill, where for the first time they prayed and spoke to her. That is
why June 25 is celebrated as the anniversary of the apparitions of the Queen of
Peace, as Our Lady introduced herself. Dinner and overnight at private pension
of the 1st cateegory in Meugorje.
DAY 6 MEUGORJE - DUBROVNIK (140 km): After
breakfast, we head back to Dubrovnik. Upon arrival, a guided stroll around the
Old City with a visit to the Franciscan monastery, Rector's Palace and the
Cathedral. Dinner and overnight at the hotel in Dubrovnik.
DAY 7 DUBROVNIK: After breakfast, you'll be
transferred to Dubrovnik airport for your flight home.
